Jonathan Fortenberry

Owner

Jonathan serves as the agency’s Principal, acting as both the chief problem solver and—if you ask the team—the chief problem creator. His professional expertise lies in Commercial Insurance, Life Insurance, and Annuities. Outside the office, Jonathan is deeply involved in music, his local faith community, and his family. As a proud man in his 40s, he successfully resisted the urge to become a Civil War or WWII history buff and instead chose the path of becoming obsessed with smoking meats. He is married to Lauren, and they share a wonderful child together.

Lauren

Operations Manager

A lifelong resident of Tipton County, Lauren maintains deep roots in the community and serves as the agency's Operations Manager. With degrees in both Education and Human Resources, she is indispensable to the team, often taking on the role of the "mom of the agency." Lauren enjoys cozy mysteries, hot tea, and crocheting. She puts up with Jonathan daily and covets your prayers for her patience.

Amber

Amber proudly serves her hometown of Portland, Tennessee—a rural community known for sweet strawberries and strong agricultural roots. Since moving there at 14, Amber’s love for farm life has only grown through her involvement in 4-H, FFA, and now as an adult working to grow her family’s horse program (and soon, a cattle program too!). When she’s not helping clients, you’ll likely find Amber at the barn, riding horses, cheering on her soccer-loving son, or spending time with her motorcycle-enthusiast husband.

Ashley

Producer | East TN Market

Ash is a lifelong Tennessean who now lives on her grandparents’ farm with her dogs and horses—the same farm she was proud to purchase in 2018. With a background in English riding, specifically hunters and eventing, she’s always had a deep love for animals and the outdoors. Ash graduated from Western Kentucky University with degrees in Animal Science and Anthropology. When she’s not working, you can usually find her hiking, kayaking, or doing Jiu-Jitsu—anything that keeps her moving and outside.

Aubrey

Content Creator

Aubrey serves as the Content Creator for The Local Insurance Agency while working toward her master’s degree in Agricultural Communications at Oklahoma State University. A talented rider, she was previously a member of the UT Martin Equestrian Team that clinched the Eastern Athletic Conference Championship. Outside of work and school, she enjoys competing in horse shows and spending time with her family.
